Tavon’s Beard Butter

Meet Tavon Mason! Tavon represents Baltimore, MD and is the CEO of Tavon’s Beard Butter, which offers all natural beard butter and oil. Tavon’s Beard Butter has been in business since 2018, and was created when Tavon was trying to find a resolution for the growth and moisture of his own beard, as well as skin enrichment.

As a former NFL player with his own business, Tavon faced the challenge of getting out to the masses but says that marketing, ecommerce pages, and vending at farmers markets & events helped his business become successful.

For Tavon, the best business advice that has kept him grounded was to keep pushing no matter what, value your product, and don’t adjust prices to fit what people think. Although he had minimal marketing, Tavon says he is most proud of his business getting orders from all over the map as a small business.

If you are a new male entrepreneur or considering to become one, Tavon has the following advice:

“My advice to a new male entrepreneur would be entrepreneur to push their model and be open to learning at all times. I was helped while vending with my setup and it helped tremendously. Also, on the low days to keep pushing and don’t give up. “
